ALDERSGATE EMMAUS
South Lake Community News
January 2007
Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy New Year! It was very nice to see so many smiling faces at our luncheon a couple of weeks ago. Thank you to all of you attended. Stay tuned - a large gathering at a local restaurant is being planned for sometime in the near future. We are hoping that this will be a large Reunion Gathering including many faces that we haven't seen in a long time. Stay tuned for more info.
Our next 5th Sunday gathering is Sunday April 29th, 2007. The FUMC Social Hall is reserved for 12:30. If anyone would like to host this event please let us know.
Attached you will see the South Lake Emmaus Community address list. It is in serious need of updating. Please check it out and help with any correct info if you can. Please let us know via e-mail. Thank you!
WALKS
The first walk of 2007 is the February Women's walk #115. It is February 1-4 2007. Serving from the South Lake Community: Kari Gourdie, Karen Dwyer, Nicole Kellogg, Michele Countryman, Christine King, Sherry Smith, Nancy Faine and Xan Logan. At this time we do not have any Pilgrims from our community attending. David Countryman and Gary Logan are serving on the March Men's team #116.
Please continue to support them, the rest of the team and most importantly the pilgrims of the upcoming men’s and women’s walks. You can do this through prayer, letters, agape, and your presence at the ceremonies on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. You may also sign up for the prayer clock at www.aldersgateemmaus.org. There are lots of slots to be filled!

CHRYSALIS NEWS
The next chrysalis weekends are scheduled for March. We ask for your support in prayer (sign up on the website), agape (65 pieces needed per walk) and presence (sendoff is 8:00 Friday morning; candlelight 7:30 p.m. Sat. night and Closing is at 3:30 Sunday afternoon). If you would like to send agape for Chrysalis the daily themes are Faith, Hope and Love. All Chrysalis correspondence, donations, walk applications and team applications should be mailed to: Chrysalis Registrar P.O. Box 491918, Leesburg Florida 34749
These teens and teams need our support in the form of agape, letters, and attendance at candlelight and at closings. The Chrysalis board is also looking for individuals, communities and groups who would like to donate for scholarships.
PRAYER REQUEST
Nancy Faine is looking for childcare help for her 14 month old grandson who will be coming to live with her . She is scheduled to work the February team as a chapel angel so we are looking for some help real soon. If you can help or know of anyone please give her a call ASAP.
